Raising a son is like
Rocks

Roses.
Teach him to be strong and firm, to provide a solid foundation for those who love and need him.
The Rocks
Teach him to be full of gentleness and kindness, and not fear beauty, to be brave enough to open up his heart.
The Rose
These sons will become the fathers and husbands our world needs.

What an enormity of responsibility that small realization carries with it.
